Hi folks,
there is an update for LabCurves to have a curve for adaptive (or absolute) saturation adjustments. It is an external 16 bit program which can be semmlessly used from gimp with a python script.

This script-fu script is a deeply modified version of the comic-book1 script by barky. While that script works well for web resolution images, higher res images need a larger cell size to keep the correct look and feel.
The plugin-interactions have been left in a active state to allow the user to fine tune the effect based on resolution.
This script uses the following default plugins:
hue-saturation
posterize
unsharp mask
newsprint.

I've seen an very interessting video (http://meetthegimp.org/episode-127-octave-sharpening/) about the so called "Octave Sharpening" I've never heard. So I started searching for some information about it and found also 2 other sharpening methods (http://www.varis.com/StepByStep/sharpen/Sharpen.html).
The PDF tutorial (second link) shows the function with Photoshop so I implemented the scripts for gimp and wondered how effectfull they are.

WARNING: This script will overwrite your images! Make a backup first.
Hi, I'm a web developer and i often want to test my designs in different colors. To avoid changing images one by one i did this simple script (my first one) to rapidly get a feel of how it looks like.
The script desaturates all open images in GIMP and creates a layer in Color mode with the color you pick on the non-transparent parts of those images and finally saves them.
Altough its a very simple script, it prooved useful to some of my co-workers so i decided to post it here. read more »
